Back at the campground, after spending the day exploring rocky shores and venerable lighthouses overlooking Caribbean-like water, we watched the evening sun cast a glow over this precious land in the Bruce Peninsula (in Ontario). The pictures I took of Tessi, my dog, basking in that evening light, embody some of the most pleasant days of my life.
I’ve used one of these pictures as the header above.
On this site, I’ve included a Travel Writings section. Tessi and I have discovered some extraordinary places together, and I have discovered travelling with a pet isn’t always easy. Many locales either don’t allow dogs or enforce restrictions on them. Then there are some areas that just aren’t safe. In the Travel Writings section, I’ve written about my experiences of travelling with Tessi. I want to share with others what I have learned and eventually I hope to have others share their experiences with me (and my readers).
By the way, I’m still wondering why dogs aren’t allowed on most beaches. They have as much potential to make a mess there as anywhere else. Send me an email letting me know what you think.
I’ve also added a photography section that includes several topics - animals, children, nature and travel.
The Doggy News and Info page lists resources I and others have discovered, that may be of interest to you. If you have a travel destination to add, please email me with the information.
Finally, for those armchair travellers out there, I’ve listed travel books I’ve enjoyed reading.
I hope you enjoy what my website has to offer.
