Doggy News and Info
If anyone has any information about new dog parks opening up, great places to take a dog or other information about travelling with dogs (in Canada), please send it to me and I will list it in this section.
- www.dogpaddlingadventures.com - Adventures and excursions year round for you and your dog, include canoeing, hiking and skijoring trips. I’ve written about our adventure with the group in my Hiking the Forks of the Credit story under my Travel Writings section.
- We spent a wonderful Christmas at Chateau Montebello in Quebec, about 1 1/2 hours from Ottawa. They are a Fairmont property and are so pet friendly. There are 65,000 acres of beautiful country and when we were there at Christmas, there were many dogs and their owners. They do offer dog sledding in winter so that area was off limits to the dogs but otherwise there were many cleared trails to walk and enjoy.
